Making the Selection

published on 20.12.2010 in Tips
At this juncture of the selection process, you are ready to set an interview in your client’s living environment to confirm to you and the client that you have made a good match. At this point the potential caregiver will also be “interviewing” you. A match “made in heaven” is what is best for both the client and the caregiver. If anyone is hesitant at this point about the working relationship there should be honest conversation about these areas with resolution in mind. If you decide to offer employment to your selected caregiver, you must agree upon temporary or permanent help, salary or wage per hour, who will pay taxes, and will employment be contract or non-contract. You will need to agree on schedule and activities they are to perform. You will need to determine how the caregiver’s time will be recorded and kept.
